CLW sewage suction trucks carry 4,000-16,000 liter sealed tanks with rotary Roots or liquid-ring vacuum pumps reaching minus 0.09 MPa, able to pull sludge from depths of up to 15 meters. Combination models add a high-pressure jetting reel so one crew cleans and evacuates the same drain.
With a Roots pump the practical suction depth is 8-15 m vertical; CLW sizes pump displacement (typically 300-600 m3/h) against hose diameter to hold rated flow at working vacuum.
