Six driven wheels on a DONGFENG 6X6 off-road chassis anchor a 14-ton knuckle-boom crane built for lifts where the ground itself is the problem. The multi-section boom works from a 5.0 m to 12.0 m radius, slewed continuously through 360 degrees by hydraulics, with an integrated winch and telescopic hook, sub-hook optional. Stability falls to H-type outriggers with vertical legs and bi-directional locks, while a load moment limiter, anti two-block device, boom-length indicator and audible alarm police every pick. Two-stage gear pump hydraulics, protected by relief and counterbalance valves with an oil cooler, draw power from a gearbox PTO so the crane works at engine idle. Behind the pedestal, a steel cargo box or flat bed travels material to the same lift in one vehicle. Options cover wireless remote control, rear extensions, an alloy bed and a winch sub-hook. The rough-terrain driveline and 14-ton class hook load target forestry roads, pipeline rights-of-way and mining approaches, where setting, recovery and haulage must happen without a second machine.
