The Foton G5 high-roof ambulance is a 3,250 kg GVW medical van developed for Latin American and African fleets that prefer a simple petrol drivetrain. Its 2.4 L four-cylinder engine produces approximately 118 kW (160 hp) and drives through a five-speed manual gearbox, so fuel and servicing are available almost anywhere. The 5,320 x 1,880 x 2,440 mm body on a 3,200 mm wheelbase provides a flat-floor medical cabin with room for an automatic loading stretcher, an attendant seat, a folding bench and wall cabinets. The fit-out includes antibacterial wall panels, a washable slip-resistant floor, twin oxygen outlets, a drug cabinet, an equipment rack, LED treatment lighting, UV disinfection, a 500 W sine-wave inverter and independent rear air conditioning. A red/white AMBULANCIA livery, long-row LED light bar, 100 W siren and blue blinkers are fitted as standard. Left-hand drive is standard and right-hand drive can be specified. One unit minimum order, 20-30 day production.
The Foton G5 high-roof ambulance offers a low-cost, easy-to-service petrol platform with a complete medical cell, painted and trimmed for Latin American and African fleets.

160 hp 2.4 L petrol | 3,250 kg gross vehicle weight | 3,200 mm wheelbase | 5,320 mm overall length |
The Foton G5 is a long-wheelbase high-roof van built on a body-on-frame layout. The 2.4 L four-cylinder petrol engine delivers around 118 kW (160 hp) and 200-220 Nm, matched to a five-speed manual gearbox. Petrol operation suits markets where diesel quality is variable or where the fleet already runs petrol vehicles, and the engine bay leaves generous access for routine service.
The 3,200 mm wheelbase and 5,320 mm overall length give stable highway behaviour while keeping the turning circle suitable for city hospitals. Front disc brakes, ABS and EBD are standard. Gross vehicle weight is 3,250 kg, with a kerb weight near 2,050 kg, leaving roughly 1,200 kg for crew, patient, oxygen and equipment.

The high roof creates approximately 1,800 mm of internal height, enough for a standing attendant beside the stretcher. The cabin is separated from the driver area by a full-height partition with a sliding window. An automatic loading stretcher locks into floor rails; a folding attendant seat and a two- or three-person bench complete the patient zone.
Walls are clad in antibacterial, wipe-clean panels with rounded corners, and the floor is a single-piece slip-resistant sheet with a drain. Cabinets are arranged along both walls: oxygen storage for two 10 L cylinders, a lockable drug drawer, an equipment rack for monitor, defibrillator and suction, plus IV hangers and a waste bin. Rear air conditioning and a roof ventilator keep the cabin comfortable in hot climates.

Twin wall-mounted oxygen outlets with humidifier bottles serve the stretcher head and the attendant seat. A 500 W sine-wave inverter supplies 220 V for a monitor, syringe pump or portable ultrasound, backed by a dedicated medical battery and fuse panel. LED ceiling lights and two IV spotlights give shadow-free illumination; a UV lamp provides post-transfer disinfection.
The emergency package includes a long-row red/blue LED light bar, a 100 W siren with handset, four corner blinkers, reverse camera and interior monitor. The exterior is finished in white with red AMBULANCIA graphics and a rear chevron panel; custom livery, national emblems and language-specific markings are applied on request.

Standard configuration is left-hand drive, petrol, manual gearbox and transport-level medical fit-out. Options include right-hand drive, a 2.0 L turbo diesel engine (approximately 110 kW / 150 hp), ICU monitoring trim with a 1,000 W inverter and extra lighting, negative-pressure filtration, a powered stretcher, a second oxygen bank and additional seating.
Each unit is delivered with a tool kit, spare fuses and lamps, an operation manual in English or Spanish, and a full export document set. Production takes 20-30 days after deposit. Units ship by Ro-Ro or in a 40HQ container, and we supply pre-shipment photos, a loading plan and spare-parts lists for the first service interval.

Is petrol or diesel better for our fleet?
Petrol is the simpler choice where fuel quality varies and technicians are familiar with spark-ignition engines; the 2.4 L unit is also quieter at idle. Choose the 2.0 L turbo diesel if your fleet already runs diesel, covers long highway distances or needs lower fuel cost per kilometre.
Can the AMBULANCIA livery be changed?
Yes. The body is painted white at the factory and the red graphics, lettering, national emblems and rear chevron are applied to your artwork. Send a vector file or a photo of an existing unit and we will match colours and text before production.
What medical equipment is included?
The standard transport fit-out includes the automatic stretcher, attendant seat, oxygen system with two cylinders and outlets, suction bracket, drug and equipment cabinets, LED lighting, UV disinfection and a 500 W inverter. Monitor, defibrillator, syringe pumps and ventilator are supplied by the buyer or quoted separately.
