Recovery and lifting share one SHACMAN X6 4X2 chassis here, a diesel turning out 220 hp (165 kW) under the cab. Ahead of the steel cargo bed an XCMG 8-ton straight boom works in the 8-ton t-m class, its multi-section jib covering a 5.0 to 12.0 m working radius above H-type and vertical hydraulic outriggers with bi-directional locks. Slewing is continuous through 360 degrees, driven by a gearbox PTO that lets the crane function at engine idle. A two-stage gear pump with relief and counterbalance valves and an oil cooler feeds the hydraulics, while a load moment limiter, anti two-block device, boom-length indicator and audible alarm police every lift. The integrated winch and telescopic hook can take a sub-hook option and a wireless remote. Because the wrecker role adds a boom, winch and wheel-lift for roadside towing, the truck recovers a casualty and then hauls components away on the same trip without a second vehicle.
