The SRM ambulance is a compact petrol medical van built for Ethiopian clinics, NGOs and private operators that need a low-cost unit able to reach narrow streets and rural health posts. The 1.5-2.0 L petrol engine delivers roughly 85-110 kW (116-150 hp) through a five-speed manual gearbox. Overall length is 4.5-4.8 m on a 2.9-3.0 m wheelbase, and gross vehicle weight is 2,500-2,800 kg, so a standard driving licence covers the vehicle in most markets. Inside, the raised-roof cabin carries a folding or automatic stretcher, an attendant seat, two 10 L oxygen cylinders with wall outlets, a drug cabinet, an equipment rack, LED treatment lighting, a UV lamp and a 500 W inverter. Air conditioning serves the driver and patient compartment. The exterior is finished in white with red AMBULANCE lettering, Amharic script, a roof beacon and corner blinkers; buyer logos such as Sigma Foundation or St Mary's Clinic are applied to artwork. One unit minimum, 20-30 day production, export documents for Ethiopia.

A compact, low-cost petrol ambulance for Ethiopian clinics and NGOs, delivered with Amharic markings, oxygen system, stretcher and full emergency lighting.
The SRM van uses a ladder-frame chassis with a short front overhang, which suits unpaved feeder roads and tight market streets. The 1.5-2.0 L four-cylinder petrol engine produces approximately 85-110 kW (116-150 hp) and 140-190 Nm, driving through a five-speed manual gearbox. Petrol is the practical choice where diesel supply is irregular, and the engine is simple enough for local workshops to service.
The 2.9-3.0 m wheelbase and 4.5-4.8 m overall length keep the turning circle small, while ground clearance and 15-inch wheels handle rough access roads. Front disc brakes, ABS and EBD are fitted. Gross vehicle weight is 2,500-2,800 kg with a kerb weight near 1,700-1,900 kg, leaving 700-900 kg for crew, patient and medical equipment.

The raised roof gives approximately 1,650-1,750 mm of internal height. A full-height partition with sliding window separates the driver cab. The patient area accepts a folding stretcher or an automatic loading stretcher on floor rails, with a folding attendant seat and a two-person bench. The side sliding door and rear tailgate both open wide for loading.
Antibacterial wall panels, a washable slip-resistant floor and rounded furniture edges make cleaning straightforward. Storage includes an oxygen cabinet for two 10 L cylinders, a lockable drug drawer, an equipment rack for monitor and suction, IV hangers, a waste bin and a fire extinguisher. Rear air conditioning and a roof extractor cope with high ambient temperatures.

Two LED ceiling lamps and an IV spotlight illuminate the patient; a UV lamp is used between transfers.
The roof carries a red LED beacon bar; blue/red corner blinkers, a 100 W siren with handset, reverse camera and interior monitor are included. The white body is striped in red with AMBULANCE lettering in English and Amharic, plus the buyer's clinic or foundation logo. Reflective contour tape improves night visibility on rural roads.

Production takes 20-30 days; minimum order one unit.
Is this ambulance suitable for rural Ethiopian roads?
Yes. The short overhangs, 15-inch wheels and 2.9-3.0 m wheelbase suit unpaved feeder roads, and the petrol engine is easy to service where diesel quality or supply is uncertain. For heavy corrugated routes we recommend the optional underbody protection and a second spare wheel.
Can you print our clinic or foundation logo?
Yes. Send a vector file or high-resolution image of the logo and the required Amharic or English wording. We prepare a livery proof showing logo position, stripe layout and rear chevron before production, and apply the graphics on the white body at the factory.
What documents are provided for Ethiopian import?
We supply the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and the vehicle's conformity and specification sheets. The importer's clearing agent in Addis Ababa should confirm any additional letter of credit or pre-shipment inspection requirement before the order.
