Why an Electric Mist Cannon Truck Pays Off

▶ Construction dust, coal stockpiles and port handling release PM10 and PM2.5 that drift far beyond the site fence. A water sprinkler wets the surface, but a mist cannon adds a second layer of control: it breaks water into fine droplets and throws them 30-60 m, catching dust before it rises. This Dongfeng 4X2 combines both duties on one 18 t chassis, so a single driver and vehicle cover road watering, green-belt irrigation and dust suppression.

The cannon pans and tilts by remote control and offers jet, rain and mist patterns. Its 108-nozzle stainless steel ring is fed by a self-priming sprinkler pump, while the fan runs from the battery pack instead of an auxiliary diesel engine. The result is quiet, zero-tailpipe operation for city roads, demolition sites and night shifts where diesel noise or emissions would be restricted.

• Use the rear duckfoot spray on haul roads and the elevated cannon on stockpile faces and demolition fronts.
• Drain the plumbing before freezing weather and keep the pump-in/pump-out routine on the shift checklist.
