HOWO 6x4 Aircraft Refueling Truck 12,000 L JET A-1 Bowser with Flow Meter

The HOWO 6x4 aircraft refueling truck is a 12,000-litre JET A-1 bowser for regional airports, heliports and fuel depots. Behind the cab, a lockable cabinet carries the full aviation control panel: hydraulic and venturi pressure gauges, filter vacuum and outlet pressure gauges, a differential-pressure gauge, tachometer, deadman sequence, emergency stop and an LCD readout. Four bottom-loading couplers on a pull-out rack let the tank refill from a depot standpipe, a six-digit mechanical meter records every delivery, and a grounding reel with clamp is stowed beside the panel. The HOWO cab carries a 340 hp badge and a WEICHAI engine, and the 6x4 chassis keeps 12,000 litres within road axle limits on the run between depot and apron. A rear ladder and top walkway serve the manhole. Tell us the aircraft you refuel and the flow rate you need, and we confirm the tank certificate, filter and hose before quoting.

A Bowser Built Around the Dispensing Sequence

▶ A regional airport rarely has a hydrant network, so the bowser is the fuel system: it loads at the depot, filters and meters on the way out, and delivers at the aircraft. Each step has a gauge on this truck. The panel shows hydraulic pressure and venturi pressure for the pump circuit, vacuum and outlet pressure across the filter, differential pressure across the coalescer element, and engine speed on the tachometer used to check meter calibration. The operator reads the whole sequence in one place instead of walking around the truck.

The delivery itself is controlled by a deadman valve: fuel flows only while the operator holds the control, and releasing it stops the flow. The emergency stop sits on the same panel, next to the power and lighting switches, with red and green beacons on the cabinet roof showing the state of the truck to the ramp crew. Below the panel, four bottom-loading couplers slide out on a rack, so the tank can be refilled from a depot standpipe without opening the top manhole. A six-digit mechanical meter records the delivered volume, and the grounding reel beside the cabinet must be clamped to the aircraft before the nozzle is connected.

The 6x4 chassis is sized for this tank. Twelve cubic metres of JET A-1 weighs about 9.5 tonnes; on one steering axle and a rear tandem the loads stay inside road limits, and the shorter chassis turns easily on a crowded apron. The HOWO cab carries a 340 hp badge and a WEICHAI engine, with a day cab behind it. Tank volume, hose length, nozzle type and overfill protection are confirmed on the build sheet — send the aircraft types and the flow rate you need, and the specification is fixed against the tank certificate before production.

Before You Order

  • Declare the fuel grade: JET A-1, JET A or AVGAS 100LL change the seals, filter element and bonding, and the tank certificate must match the grade you will carry.
  • Confirm the flow rate: this bowser is built for roughly 600–1,200 L/min; if you serve larger turbines, specify a higher rate and a larger hose before the pump is selected.
  • Check the loading point: the four bottom-loading couplers need a compatible depot standpipe. If you fill from drums or through the top manhole, tell us and the manifold is configured differently.
  • Ask for the meter and calibration record: the six-digit counter is the basis of your delivery records, so confirm the unit and the calibration certificate you need for your market.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much fuel does it carry?

12,000 litres nominal in a single compartment. The usable volume is stated on the tank certificate supplied with the truck; confirm it against your build sheet before ordering.

What does the control panel monitor?

Hydraulic and venturi pressure, filter vacuum, filter outlet pressure, differential pressure across the coalescer, engine speed and the deadman sequence, with an emergency stop, power and lighting switches and an LCD readout.

Can it be used for helicopters?

Yes. Helicopter work usually needs a lower flow rate and a longer hose reach; the pump, meter and hose are matched to the aircraft listed in the order.

Send your aircraft type, required flow rate and destination port for a specification and FOB quotation within 24 hours.

✔ Aviation control panel

Pump, filter and meter are monitored from one panel with differential-pressure and vacuum gauges, deadman sequence and emergency stop.

✔ Grade-specific commissioning

Tank, seals and filter element are specified for the fuel grade you declare: JET A-1, JET A or AVGAS 100LL.

✔ Five-language documentation

Specification, operation notes and export documents are issued in English, Spanish, French, Arabic or Russian.

✔ 24-hour quotation

Send aircraft type, required flow rate and destination port; we return a specification and FOB quotation within one working day.
