▶ A municipal water truck earns its keep by switching tasks through the day: washing a road after maintenance, watering a green belt in the dry season, or knocking down dust on a construction haul route. This Dongfeng 4X2 water sprinkler is built around that flexibility. The 10,620 L one-piece Q235 tank uses a 4 mm body and 5 mm heads, CNC submerged-arc welded, with a two-digit level gauge so the operator knows the load before setting off. A high-power self-priming pump moves about 90 m³/h, lifts water from 7 m and runs from engine and gearbox PTO with no separate motor, so it draws from a hydrant, canal or tanker and pumps out through the same plumbing. A 65 mm hydrant adapter, suction hoses, a manhole with float valve and a bottom freeze drain cover the fill and winter routine.

The spray system works in layers so one pass can cover the full road width. Two forward nozzles sweep at least 14 m and clear debris from the lane, two side jets water kerbs and green belts, and a rear duckfoot shower opens at least 28 m behind a music warning horn. On the guard-railed rear platform, a greening cannon reaches 28-30 m and slews 360 degrees, switching between jet, rain and mist for trees, median planting or dust suppression. All functions are ball-valve controlled, and the rear anti-slip platform gives the operator a safe place to work the cannon. For a city fleet, that means one chassis replaces several single-purpose units.

The carrier is a Dongfeng 4X2 with a 210 HP diesel, FAST 8JS85E manual gearbox and 18,000 kg gross on a 4,500 mm wheelbase. Six 10.00R20 tyres support a 110 km/h municipal pace between depots.
